Lawrence Jacomelli is a British director, writer, and producer working between London and Los Angeles across commercials, branded content, and long-form film.

He began his career in advertising, directing his first television commercial in the early 2000s. His work quickly gained recognition for its cinematic approach and strong narrative focus, leading to campaigns for major international brands including British Airways, Pepsi, Toyota, Lexus, McDonald’s, and Swatch. Known for combining visual precision with performance-led storytelling, his commercial work has been recognised at leading international awards including Cannes Lions and the Epica Awards.

In 2014, he co-founded Beast Films with creative director Victoria Taylor, building the company into a director-led production studio spanning London and Los Angeles. Under his direction, the company has produced a wide range of commercial and branded work, defined by a disciplined production approach and a focus on clear, idea-driven storytelling.

Expanding into long-form filmmaking, Lawrence made his feature debut with Blood Star, a character-driven desert road thriller which he wrote, produced, and directed. The film premiered at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival and went on to screen at festivals including Grimmfest and Cinequest, marking a transition into narrative storytelling.

He is currently developing a slate of feature films and television projects, continuing to bring a filmmaker’s perspective to both commercial and long-form work across the US and UK.
